Implement new server with TFS 2010 - with existing SQL Server 2005 data backups

    Hi,

    I have system with Microsoft team foundation server (TFS) 2005 , Visual studio 2005 plus Microsoft SQL server 2005 . Now I planned to migrate our central repository system to VS 2010 and TFS 2010 .We will use fresh TFS server to same purpose.

    My requirement is to use files from SQL server 2005 (in TFS 2005) in new server with TFS 2010/ SQL server 2010 .

    Please kindly explain the procedure to follow to perform this task . Also please mention if there is any limitations of this process.

    Were you just looking for some general help on upgrading your existing Team Foundation Server that you're running on premises or were you looking to migrate your existing projects to our hosted TFS solution?
