We have a hosted TFS account with discount asp.net and we have the option of running automated builds. Can we access the build agent machine and install software on it? We are now working on improving our build automation and we are taking a dependency on the “SQL Automation Pack” from Red Gate. Is there a way we can install that on our build agent? Is that machine shared with anyone else? I am concerned about placing the license keys on a machine where other users will also run automation. The same question may come up soon regarding other dependencies we’ll take. One example (there may be others) is that we want to be able to deploy our builds on Azure and I am not sure if the Azure SDK is installed on the build agent. Thanks, Ladi
Hi Ladi, If you already have a build server hosted with us, we can install third-party and custom packages/software on your behalf. Use the Support Portal and open a request with the technical support team and I'll keep an eye out for your ticket.
